AI: Leibniz Startup & Industry Event

On 20 of November we had the oportunity to be part of AI Leibniz Startup & Industry Event organazied by AMA. This presentations of the startups illustrated the impressive variety of possible AI applications. Beside the such locomotive topics of AI as autonomous driving, presented by Dr.-Ing. Uwe Franke head of Image Understanding at Daimler AG, there have bee novelties in Information Retrival (ex. qompa), Image Processing (ex. Brainplug, FaAM), Text Processing (ex. ainblick) and many others.

We from ICAML used this event to demonstrate our eye twinkling interpretation of an inverse Touring Test. We implemented a game which asks the player to sketch a given object from overall 200 classes like “cat” or “bus”, and if a ML model in the background identifies the object, the test is passed and the player earns points. The architecture of this scribble game employs for the identification task GPU infrastructure of our ICAML cluster.
